Building Services Engineering
When working in the early RIBA stages, we design whilst being sympathetic to the clients vision with close understanding and coordination with Architectural and Structural engineering designs. We find that clear communication is very important, especially when trying to find a solution which works for the entire team.
Similarly, when working with Contractors in the later RIBA stages, we understand the pressures which contractors often find themselves faced with. Our helpful and problem solving approach to designing looks to help the contractor complete the project. We also have experience working with developers providing infrastructure designs and sizings.
Renewable and Low Carbon technologies design approach
Our team has built up the experience working with many renewable technologies (including Air and Ground Source Heat pumps, PV, CHP, Biomass and district heating systems) on projects and are able to provide cost/benefit analysis on which technology is best suited. We are Low Carbon Energy Assessors (LCEA) and LCC (Low Carbon Consultants), which coupled with our experience on a whole host of projects, whether its an off the grid house, to district heating systems across multiple buildings makes us well placed to help make any sort of project more sustainable.
Sustainable Design Approach
Sustainability is not just Renewable energy, but also reducing our energy usage within buildings. Being level 3, 4 and 5 Accredited in Building/Energy simulation software, we are able to provide advice on how to reduce overheating within a building, which reduces the need for air conditioning. Whether its thermal mass, solar shading, or looking at openable areas of windows, we are able to advise on how to improve the thermal performance of a space. This helps ensure that your building is not only suitable for today, but the future as well with global warming.
Our team has experience on a very wide array of projects, both in size and complexity, Listed below are where we have worked on both new builds and refurbishments/extensions. The Value of the projects vary between 0.5 million to 20 millions pounds.
